Beautiful Donegal and Glenveagh National Park

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

After a few hectic months of travelling abroad we decided to treat ourselves to a little R&R, so we loaded up the trusty steed and set off once again, this time to what must be one of the most outstandingly beautiful places on the planet. Happiness is dependant upon many things but in the middle of Donegal the weather is all important so when we looked at the thermometer in the Walled Garden at the rear of the Castle and it was reading a balmy 30degC we realised things couldn’t get more perfect.

The boat-house

and what is surely one of the first outdoor, heated “infinity” pools!

A 30min stroll brings us through a wonderful forest to the uppermost viewing point               and down the other side to a verdant, moist landscape.
