Master Classes:
Master classes are open to glass artists, painters, sculptors, craft artists, architects, designers and others who wish to explore the technical and artistic potential of glass either on its own or in combination with other materials. All classes are subject to a minimum and maximum enrolment.
Master Class Format:
Each class will begin on the first day at 9.00am with studio orientation and conclude at 5pm on the final day. The studio will be open the following day from 9am-12 noon for the collection of work.
To apply please send the following:
- A brief CV outlining your previous experience.
- A short statement (maximum 100 words) outlining the benefit of the class selected to your artistic practice.
- Three images of recent work in CD format. Each image should be numbered to correspond with the image information sheet.

- Booking form.
If possible please also send a copy of your application by e-mail to: info@theglasstudioireland.com Text files should be in word format.
Application Deadline: All applications materials should arrive at The Glass Studio at least 5 weeks prior to the commencement of your chosen class. Allocation of class places will be at the discretion of the jury. If you are allocated a place you will be sent further information on accommodation and travel directions.
Late Applications: The Glass Studio will continue to accept applications but any received after the deadline will be processed in the order they are received if space is available and until all classes are filled. If space is not available an applicant's name will be placed on a waiting list. Please be prepared to respond quickly should a place become available.
Refunds and Cancellations: The Glass Studio makes a substantial investment when organising the master class programmes and vacancies can be hard to fill at short notice even if there is a waiting list. Therefore, if a cancellation is received up to 21 days prior to a class start date the full fee less a £45 cancellation fee will be refunded only if we are able to fill your place. A cancellation received less than 21 days but more than 14 days prior to the start of class will receive a refund of 50% of the class fee less the £45 cancellation fee. There will be no refund for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the start of a class.
